A Short Story
Once upon a time, in a land not so far away, Deb was working at a company called Vollmer. When she first arrived in 9/2000, it was to tap her inate computer skills in answering the help desk line. My how that job changed!
Within the first week, Deb was designing and building an Access database application. When the help desk slowed down, Deb got bored (this happens a lot). She started tinkering with something pretty cool - HTML. She thought to herself, "It's like programming, but not!"After some experimentation, programming found its way in. After all, how else can you make the computer do what you want it to do?
It didn't take long for her talents to be seen. In 2001, she begins her career/love-affair: Web Design & Development. Deb went far with lots of training, lots of practice and a terrific boss. She finished her M.B.A. 5/2004, and struck out on her own. Crosspoint Designs was born.
Business was good, but she wanted something more. God moved in her heart (and Steve's!) and wispered the desire for a baby. "After all," she thought, "what better timing? I work from home!"
A few years later, their baby Tyler was born (2006). Mom & Dad were thinking of having another, and its a good thing too! 16 months later, Daniel is here! 16 months and one week later, Sarah is born! With 3 kids, Deb finally realizes her career is on hold. They are a wonderful blessing to be sure, but "Oh my goodness, the WORK!"
Web Design & Development are still so much fun though! Inspired by Tyler's love of bubbles and her own favorite colors, Crosspoint Designs is reborn.
